Modern catamarans transport you comfortably across Foveaux Strait from Bluff to Stewart Island and back. Bookings are essential for the one-hour journey. From Bluff, sailing times are 1 Oct-Apr 9.30 a.m.,11.30 and 5.00p.m. and from May - Sept 9.30 and 4.30  Coming back Oct to Apr 8a.m. 3.30, 6.30 20 Mar to Apr 5.00 instead of 6.30. May to Sep 8.am, 3.00.

Shuttles available to and from Invercargill City and Airport to the Bluff terminal, ask about this when making your bookings. Fare $18, Senior Citizens $11. Children $9.

Stewart Island Flights

Flights are available between Invercargill airport and Stewart Island daily.  The short 20 minute flight offers amazing views of Paterson Inlet and Halfmoon Bay in comfort and style.

The summer schedule 1 Oct - 30 April 

Mon-Fri is 8a.m., 1p.m. and 5.p.m. and returning 30 minutes later.

The winter schedule 1 May - 30 Sept 

Mon - Fri 9a.m., 1p.m. and 4p.m. returning 30 minutes later.

Weekend schedule all year round
